Recommend a 6.5"/7" phone

My Cubot Max 6 is giving up the ghost after one too many falls :o I'd like something a bit bigger (I'm an ole wan) but my budget is only around €200. Any recommendations/links? Many thanks

Yes Mi Max 3 is a contender.

HonorBuy EU is well respected on boards.ie
It's maybe a few Euro more than others but delivery is rapid. If in stock you should receive delivery within a few days usually.

The older Mi Max 2 could also be considered if the price is more attractive for you.

Thanks. I'm already using a 6" phone and don't mind the larger size. I make/receive very few calls and use it mostly for internet use.

If anyone else is wondering TradingShenzen is the best service Ive ever had from a Chinese site, they'll answer you straight away on Whatsapp and deliver in a few days, also you can ask for original firmware or have it delivered unlocked with the .eu firmware no extra charge.

Mine made it through with DHL, another guy at work who went through the exact same got hit with a €40 bill from DHL for customs when his came, both delivered to us at work at the same address.

I'd recommend HK Goldway (Google search) on AliExpress over Gearbest for phones anyhow.
Pay for DHL and that'll cover customs.
They have a good rep and they have a plethora of Xiaomi phones. Just make sure you're buying a global version of a phone rather than Chinese... It'll state it in the description.

Love my new Mi Max 3, battery life is excellent. Not as big as I thought it would be though, could go bigger! Anyone know if it supports wireless charging?

Doesnt look like it - https://www.mi.com/en/max3/specs/ - No mention of it there. Id imagine they'd be fairly vocal of it as a feature if it did.

skype , viber using credit would work if you had a tablet with a sim card or a data connection via hotspot from a phone or wifi. if you're not making many calls as you say could work.

You couldn't even order the Chinese 6GB/64 GB version until the end of August nearly, and then the Global edition only came out a few weeks after that...

Best piece of electronics I ever bought, if you consume a lot of media on your phone like I do, tv/Youtube/comics/ebooks etc then its amazing. The battery just refuses to die.

Second that! Battery is fantastic and it's a pleasure to read a book on the kindle app.

The screen is just incredible, even at 45% brightness where I usually leave it. If you told me it was the AMOLED or OLED from a Samsung or Apple flagship Id believe you.

Most of the reviews on YouTube are for the 4gb version because it took so long for the 6gb to appear and they all seem happy. For the minor difference in price I'd try stretch to the 6gb version though, the battery is so good we might be using it for a long time so good to get a bit of future proofing in. 128gb of storage in your pocket is very handy aswell.
