10w40 instead of 5w30

I have about 6 litres of 10w40 bought to top up a previous bangernomics shed that I got rid of earlier this year. It has been replaced with another bangernomics car, this one a Renault Grand Scenic 1.5 diesel (non DPF version) with about 110k kms on it. The recommended oil for this is 5w30. Nope, use the correct oil.

Best thing you could do with that oil is use it to flush the engine.

Those engine run well on the rn0710 spec 5w 40.
If your using 5w30 it should meet rn0720. You can get that cheap from a renault main dealer.
