Think AJ will get the KO.
Povetkin to look dangerous for first round or two and then AN takes over

Joshua should get the KO around 5 or 6 me thinks.

I expect the ref pull the same nonsense when Parker fought Joshua and step in as soon as Povetkin tries to get to work on the inside and defend Joshua. This should be cannon fodder for him. God bless us Sky have been hyping up Povetkin like he's Ivan Drago.

    You seem quite anti AJ

Why was the ref (in your opinion) on AJs side in the Parker fight? Could it not have been Parker’s side?

Anyone know the channel on virgin media? Ordered it on their site and never got an email...

Nope I just have my eyes open. Any time there was any bit of clench or any hint of inside fighting going to occur the ref stepped in right away and broke them up and forced a reset, which just isn't fair and obviously benefits Joshua who's able to use his size and reach to keep Parker at bay who is better in close. I can't see how in any way that would benefit Parker. We'll see tonight whether the same ****e happens.

AJ is every bit as effective and dangerous in close as Parker.

Keep Parker at bay? He did a good enough job himself at this..

2 rds completed and Price looks spent...🤔

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,252 ✭✭✭FTA69

F*ck’s sake, I wanted to watch Price but she’s making me watch bloody Vikings before I throw on the boxing for the evening.
He’ll be knocked out before I get the sky on.

As someone who fought myself I’ll never, ever criticise boxers unfairly but come on like. The lad is either a boxer or he isn’t, he wants to be there or he doesn’t.

Stop wasting our time with rubbish.

Askin looks a step behind here, think he's gonna have a long night judging by the first two rounds.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,252 ✭✭✭FTA69

Awful load of spaghetti wrestling. I might go back to Vikings

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 57,358 ✭✭✭✭walshb

    These two are desperate!

Imagine seeing Usyk in with them. Is it a clash of styles or what cos it’s just a stinker.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,022 ✭✭✭anthonyjmaher

Any truth to the rumour that they call him "Sauce" because watching him fight would drive you to the drink?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,022 ✭✭✭anthonyjmaher

Same as the last fight, one missed punch then hold on for twenty seconds, separated by referee.
    Repeat
    Repeat
    Fall Asleep
    Wake Up
    Repeat

Okolie reminds me of Henry Akinwande

It's an MMA fight at this stage. Why is the referee not doing more to stop the head clashes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,085 ✭✭✭duffman13

Absolute tripe, a fighter that you'd never pay to see fight. Stinking the place out, hopefully referee keeps docking him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,252 ✭✭✭FTA69

Askin actually wants a fight but Okolie just wants to hug him. This is poor stuff so far. Hopefully Campbell and Mendy have a punch up

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,022 ✭✭✭anthonyjmaher

With the David Price disappointment and this sh1te now, they really need AJ to save the card. There's so little noise from the audience I can't work out if we're looking at the replay of the round or the actual live fight.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,928 ✭✭✭Morrison J

Okolie should've been DQ'ed by now. Zero skill on show. What a joke of a fight. Need a tougher ref.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

What a shocking fight. I won’t be watching Okolie ever again, 3 points off, disgrace.

Absolutely he should be DQ’d, seven f*ckin warnings. What’s the point in rules so? Shocking.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,318 ✭✭✭padair

    Rubbish fight...
That won't get more tv showing after this rubbish

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,183 ✭✭✭jobless

Worst fight I've seen in years

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,153 ✭✭✭✭normanoffside

Even Dillian Whyte thinks Okolie should ahve been DQ'ed :P

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,022 ✭✭✭anthonyjmaher

You gotta wonder how long more Hearn is gonna keep putting Okolie on his cards. Because he's gonna get held responsible for it - he always promises "a great night of boxing" with the PPV, and you can be sure that every time Okolie fights it is gonna be terrible.

I've never seen someone get three points taken but not DQ'ed. Mental. Worst performance to win a British title ever surely.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,085 ✭✭✭duffman13

Okolie is a disgrace, even Hearn seemed pissed off! Far play to Whyte saying what everyone else is thinking. I wouldn't have an issue with him being disqualified tbh

You would have to question the refereeing to be fair, almost afraid to DQ him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 57,358 ✭✭✭✭walshb

    Hope Campbell gets beaten...

Not that I dislike him....he’s just an amateur in the pro game...

Fed up with these bang average hyped up Brits..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,252 ✭✭✭FTA69

I used work with Luke’s mam and met him at our Christmas party, he’s pure sound so I’m biased.

Mendy is 3/1 to win?? Jesus can’t believe I missed that, well worth a punt.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 57,358 ✭✭✭✭walshb

Is this it for the night for Campbell? Backing up and trying to land stealing punches?

Mendy looks very comfortable here! Sky bigging up Luke now and he can become a world champion. Jesus let him try beat this guy first

Not watching now, but first few rds he was useless...

I hate sky so much. Masterclass my hole, running and landing the odd body shot. Six rounds in and two uppercuts landed

Yeah, I feel the judges are sitting listening to the sky commentary or sitting right behind them if the first 6 rounds are scored for Campbell. I'd have probably 4-3 Campbell or Mendy. Tight fight again
