I hope not. I saw it already on twitter though.
The specificity of it is unbelievable.

It is, isn't it. I wonder is it a bit like algorithms - do the random 'indents' show up to correspond to upcoming news content in the same way adverts pop up online depending on your searches etc. (?)

I can't imagine how it can without the right metadata. And even still, that would be asking for a fukup like this.

Just a very odd and morbid coincidence.

rehashing tweets and publishing paid for articles is not journalism

I know there's been a tragedy, but **** me if that isn't one of the most brilliant things I've ever seen.

Agreed. I wasn't sure if it was worth clicking on it but I'm glad I did.

Depressing isn't a word I'd use for not knowing quotes from cartoons.

Classic Simpsons is exemplary - riotously funny, not remotely dumbed down, both slapstick and cerebral humour. Who cares that it’s a cartoon? How small-minded of you.

It was a slip up. No big deal. awful as the tragedy was, TG4 did not mean any offence by it.

    Fcuk Putin. Glory to Ukraine!

    It's just a coincidence.

The things people are triggered by these days.
Calling for someone to be fired over this is ridiculous.

Can guarantee it's automated and nobody remembered that they have one where a giant is firing a caravan into the sea.

**** off getting triggered over nothing really.

    Who's triggered?

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

This is another type of poster these days. Calling everyone triggered and snowflake after not reading the thread properly.

"Calling for someone to be fired over this is ridiculous". That was one poster and I'd imagine they were firmly tongue in cheek.

I didn't find it in a tabloid. They were much later. Jesus, everyone desperate to claim it as a non story. It was only posted because of the coincidence.

It was an interesting quirk, well worthy of being pointed out. No outrage, no offense.

Reminds me of the time two gardai died in circumstances that I believed involved a major car crash (being vague because I don't remember).

RTE repeated a Podge and Rodge Scare at Bedtime episode in a story involving gardai, about two weeks after the tragic Gardai deaths. (The episode itsself aired about 6 months prior-also involved two Gardai dying in a car crash). A terrible timing to air a repeat, RTE had to apologise after the papers went apespit.

Also saw this one on Reddit

*I am not saying this one was done on purpose, I know it was coincidence. I'm not calling for anyone to be sacked.

**Is this what the world has come too now?
