    Hello,
I am looking for a recommendation for a solicitor based in Kilkenny city ideally. For a first time buyer mortgage application.

    Cheers for any help/advice,
    Ciarán

For a mortgage I would recommend to try use a broker. They will apply to all the banks and you only need to do the paper work once. I applied to 5 banks and had to redo the same forms for each bank which was a pain because they want it stamped by work.

As for a solicitor we went with Grace solicitors in Callan. After doing a good bit of research and found that they specialise in property law. We found them brilliant to deal with. I'm sure there are ones in the city too that would be great as well.

Another vote for Grace solicitors, I went to the Newpark offices and they were really very helpful and obliging.
