About to buy a phone, help me decide

In an hour I'm going in to buy a phone. My Moto g5 I've had the last two years is on its last legs.

I'm leaning towards Samsung s8 PAYG all I need is a good camera and storage. 500ish is my budget give or take.

Any suggestions? Am I better going with the p20?

I would highly recommend the Oneplus phones.

How would the camera compare to the s8 or p20

Do I have some come back if I have an issue when buying online?

You have more rights buying something online than you have in a bricks and mortar shop. You do not get to hold and test the product therefore you have the right to change your mind and demand a full refund for no other reason than you changed your mind.

The one plus 6 looks great looking at reviews. The speaker seems to be the only complaint can anyone confirm if this is actually that bad. I only use the speaker for Spotify etc

Good point. The headphone jack is really selling the one plus 6 for me.

My concern is what if it break in 4 months. Do the have decent customer service?

I wouldn't get a Galaxy S8. It's still a great phone but it's pointless getting a Samsung unless you get them when they're first out as they're notoriously poor at supporting long terms software and OS updates for their phones, and it's already an 18 month old phone now.

For €500 you won't beat a Oneplus 6. And stop worrying about it breaking after 4 months, you're well covered buying from them online.

As an owner of every single Oneplus phone they've released, I can also highly recommend the Oneplus 6. You won't be disappointed. Definitely look at some YouTube reviews to be sure, but it's a brilliant phone. And extremely good value.

And if you want €20 off it, here's a discount link you can use

Having spent the last hour looking at reviews for the one plus 6 I'm going to order it 😠the headphone jack sold it for me.

Question for those of you who have it.

    Is the speaker decent?
Is the charger a normal USB charger? As I have loads lying around and it would be handy to not have to change.
Is the case it comes with sufficient?
Is it slippy? When I got my moto g5 first it was sliding all over the place until I got a case

    Thanks :)

I've had 2 OnePlus phones, currently have a OnePlus5. My wife has a OnePlus X too. Never had an issue or reason to contact their customer service.

It has dash charge and has usb c. A normal charger will work but lots slower than dash. Usb c is the new connection, you can buy usb c cables to replace the micro usb on existing chargers if they have plug in usb

Would you consider a Nokia 7 plus? Cracking phone for about 320 quid. And no notch..

Why does everyone hate the notch, I like it

Is the speaker decent? It's okay, but there are better out there. They're not stereo speakers.

Is the charger a normal USB charger? No, USB-C. All new phones are this now anyway so you'll have to bite the bullet sooner or later. You can get adapters like this that are handy https://goo.gl/images/A2QViU

Is the case it comes with sufficient? Yes, a clear silicon one

Is it slippy? Without the case, possibly yes. I always have a case. Using the Karbon one now. It's very good.

    Also, if anyone can confirm

I assume the one plus 6 is unlocked? I'm Vodafone will I simply be able to invert my aim and be on my way? (Sorry I'm not very techie)

I've no idea whether it's a decent speaker, I presume all phone speakers are terrible.
    It's got a USB C charger/port, I guess you're talking about the microUSB chargers.
It comes with a screen protector but that's it. Cases are extra, I have the flip case which I really like.
It's slippy but not when it's in the case!

Yes it's unlocked. It's also dual SIM

    Completely unlocked.

And also, above someone said it only comes with a screen protector. Oneplus since at the very least Oneplus 5 have included a clear silicon case in the box, as well as an already applied screen protector.

Thanks very much. I'm old school and hate when chargers change I've only just built up a decent about of old chargers but I gotta move with the times I guess ðŸ˜

I only use the speakers for Spotify which I mostly use headphones or Bluetooth in my car so guess it won't make a difference to me

Not sure about the oneplus 6 but I got the 5t earlier this year and there was a screen protector already applied and a clear silicone case included

Mine arrived last week. Came with a clear silicone case and a screen protector already fitted.

Speaker is ok, don't notice a difference between this speaker and my old iPhone 6S.

Dash charge is excellent. Got the car dash charger with the phone & charge on my commute, don't charge my phone overnight anymore (0 to c. 60-70% in c. 30 mins). The mains plug with the dash charge is the same.

Love the build quality and OS. Camera is great quality so far. Delighted I switched back to Android and couldn't recommend it enough.

All the reviews I've seen say the Oneplus 6 is better. You won't be disappointed.
