Gym Recommendation

    Hi all,

    Thought I would pick your brains for recommendations on a new gym to join. 30 year old female who has been training on/off for about 7 years. Mixture of weight training, running, triathlon, spin classes. I was a member of Trinity gym as a student and for the last 3 years I've been using the DCU gym as I've been a staff member there and it allowed me to do lunchtime workouts as well as going 5 min after finishing work (so no excuses not to workout!). I'm now starting a new job in Loughlinstown (at the end of the green line Luas) and I live down by Phoenix Park so staying with DCU is a non-runner. I'm thinking it would be easiest for me to join somewhere in the city centre.

    Goals:
    I ran the Dublin City Marathon last October and loved it but I developed tendinitis in my ankle about halfway through and came in 5 min. after my goal time. I've been to see a sports injury consultant who has cleared me for running and all exercise. He's suggested I wear an insole for a few months while I run as I have 0 arch to my feet. He's also suggested I continue to strengthen my glutes/hamstring/core and that will help my running. I think I would like to do another marathon, perhaps Dublin next year. I really dislike running in the cold and I'm still running only on grass so I'm planning on keeping 1, maybe 2 light runs during the week until the spring.

    I've been doing a mixture of machine weights as well as free weights and body weight exercises for the last couple of years and feel I have a good bit of strength. I would like to keep up the weight training, drop some body fat (would like to drop to about 22% body fat), and maintain a level of cardio fitness to enable me to pick up the runs again in the spring. Maybe a mixture of classes and PT would be good? I'm very competitive (especially with myself) but after seeing results from friends in London, I think small group or PT would push me even more to get the results I want. I don't want to join Flyefit or Ben Dunne as I want more from my gym and they're a bit too no frills. I've heard of RAW, are they any good?

    TLDR;
    Looking for a new gym, 30F, training on/off 7 years, in to weights and running, would like small group/PT, ideally located in the city centre.

    Cheers!
