Public Service Card

    I have an appointment to get a public service card today. I do not have a passport or drivers license, on citizens information it said they can still go ahead without those but just wanted to ask if anyone has any experience and if there's anything else I can bring to help the process. Thanks.

    Probably too late to answer this, but just in case:

    Before they issue you the card, they want to satisfy themselves about who you are and where you live.

    For proof of address, bank statement or electricity bills are good. For proof of who you are, while photo id is good if you've got nothing then they can look up your birth cert online and ask you questions about parents' names, occupations, place of birth, etc.

    Finally, they offer you an option of 'pairing' your mobile phone, which is optional. If you want to do it, then it makes it easier to access areas of the https://www.mygovid.ie website that require security validation.
