Can anyone recommend a decent ladder or manafacturer? Would rather pay a bit more for quality than get the cheapest option.

    Thanks

I bought one of these last year and I'm very happy with it.

It might be worth paying the extra for a soft close ladder, you need to move your fingers out of the way fairly quickly when you are closing it.

I bought a step ladder version of this two years ago. I gave it away after a few months. The clips broke off making it difficult to store & carrying the extra weight every day just wasn't worth it.

Waku ladders are super quality, possibly a bit overkill for occasional domestic use though

It's a few years since I've bought a ladder, but I found it very hard to pass Stradbally Ladders when I did:

They are local to me, so of course I'm biased- but the ladder I bought from them nearly 20 years ago has provided great service. Irish made and in business a long time, say no more.

    Thanks.

Some of the websites recommended don't sell telescopic ladders at all, and some googling suggests that maybe they aren't the safest option either...
