The only change in the timetable is Maynooth/M3 line trains serving Pelletstown, and having to fit that into the overall schedule.

In other words, times on DART, Maynooth/M3 line, Northern line and Phoenix Park tunnel services may be shifted a few minutes, due to the extra time that the extra Pelletstown stop causes to the Maynooth/M3 train journey times.

There's an additional service to/from Sligo.

    16:00 from Connolly every day.

16:55 from Sligo Monday to Saturday. 16:30 on Sunday.

are those actually new/extra services, or are they just the return of services, or perhapse capacity might be a better term, that got cut from the timetable during the recession?

I'm very highly educated. I know words, i have the best words, nobody has better words then me.

That service is usually suspended for the summer months every year - it comes back each autumn to boost capacity.

I know it's a completely separate issue , not related to pelletstown , but with regards to the new timetables maybe best to remove references to 747/757 airlink in the new updated timetables and maps

They don't mention 747/757 Airlink in the new timetable pdfs.

They say "Bus connection to Dublin Airport available nearby" which is true. Dublin Express passes close to Connolly and Tara Street.

    Station opened today!

Will be served by 94 trains a day per the article.

Featured on RTE news at 6 today too as the backdrop to Eamon Ryan admitting Metro Link won't happen this decade.

94 trains a day is such an odd way for Irish Rail to describe the level of service. It's completely meaningless to most people and almost never used by other operators. Trains per hour is much more commonly used for suburban rail stations although arguably this is an urban station so headway would be more apt.

Per day gives a bigger number and makes it sound more impressive.

    Marketing basically.

Actually from watching announcements from GB TOCs, they’ve tended to express it in exactly those terms.

The higher the number the more impressive it sounds as Devnull says.
