I'm looking at getting a laptop. I was hoping to spend less than €400, but having done a bit of reading I think I'll need to stretch a little further.

I don't think I'll be doing anything too taxing, but I do want it to do whatever I ask of it smoothly. Web browsing, office, some very basic gaming like Hearthstone. If I have a bunch of tabs and word open at the same time I don't want it to struggle. I'll probably end up using it for netflix too at some stage, so a HD screen is on the list.

Edit: Ok, apparently I can't post links as a new user, so I'll have to describe them, if you copy the description into google it should get you to the right place.

    Lenovo ideaPad 520s - i3-7100 Amazon £409.99

    Acer Extensa 15 2540 -i5-7200 saveonlaptops £429.97

    new-hp-15-bs158sa-intel-i5-8gb laptopmarket €499

The processors improve from first to third. The third one has the newest i5 processor, but no SSD. Should I just go for the better processor? Is there anything else I'm missing?

    I'm open to other suggestions.

So I decided not to compromise on any of those areas and spent a little extra on a HP Notebook 14-ck0994na £479 from save on laptops. Only a 128gb SSD, but that should be fine.
