Pedestrianisation and One-Way adjustments, recent and upcoming

    Looking for some opinions on it based on the recent and upcoming one-way, pedestrianisation of streets in the country.

    Athlone is going one-way as we speak. After the badly thought out attempt circa 2009, this one includes footpath widening, added ameneties etc.

    Overall a decent plan, some adjustments needed vis a vis traffic lights for the cars, but great step to make the town centre a place to hang.

    There was a scheme put forward for a narrow road in Rathmines on IrishCycle earlier

    I'd be interested in seeing the scheme in Athlone, I remember it being mayhem cycling through a few years ago, but that was after spending hours on the canal and Rail trail
