AIB mobile app - Networking monitoring

I recently moved to AIB and since I installed their mobile app I am getting warnings about network monitoring. Is this anything to be concerned about?

I don't know for sure if AIB do the following but I had fringe involvement in a project for some major consumer banks across the globe where they wanted to integrate a VPN into their app. The VPN would initiate a connection to the bank's servers in their own datacentre and all traffic from the device would be routed through that server for inspection while the banking app was in use. This was a measure to prevent malware on a device from compromising a banking app by overlaying on the display, because the malicious traffic would have to be routed through the banks servers. It looks to me like AIB are doing this because the message you are getting can indicate VPN is in use while the app is open.
