But sure where could you drive a car like that here, we dont have the roads for it

Apparently Ford was making buyers agree to not sell the car within 6-12 months (or similar) after purchase, to stop people flipping them. Someone did and they're going after them.

A (very) nice machine. But it would not be in my top 30 list of cars I would be looking at if I had €700,000 to spend, which is what I am guessing this thing will cost after VRT, VAT etc.

2 years I think, one sold recently at mecum auctions for 1.8 million and they're being sued by ford for it. Same happens with John Cena`s car too

Imagine walking into a ford dealer and asking for pricing on the new GT.

    PCP payments must be epic.

You could use the GFMV to get into a nice Mondeo in 3 years time too :)

Your man Shmee was talking about his one recently and one of the paint options was something like 10k for a stripe, the options list sounded quiet expensive if you started adding in Carbon Fibre wheels and trim etc.

They're nice cars, IMO, but at that price point I'm not sure if I'd go after one.

Had the privilege of driving it at the launch In Utah. Stunning car. Carbon fibre shell made it very noisy on the road but still a very special machine.

Seeing as the max limit for a business car is €25k... :pac:

Are these not $450,000/€385,000 in the US? Pretty steep being €500,000 before tax. Don't even want to know what the VRT would make it.

Prompts me to ask... what is the most expensive non-super car or mad special order on sale in Ireland? I mean a car you could find in a dealers window? I haven't checked, but guessing at the likes of a 7 series long or S Class

I think they had a 2008 R8 that would drive up and down the industrial estate frequently. Ballsy because traffic around there is chaos with people pulling out even though it's wide open views...

A guy will accompany the delivery in the States and spend the day orienting you with your new purchase.

I don't know if it's the most expensive though, when you include costs of repairs and oil KKV's C5 must be in the same ballpark.

This appears to be the most expensive non super car according to carzone:

I would have thought an s65 would likely be the most expensive mainstream car.

What are they suing them for? They bought the car and sold it on just because some fool wants to pay over the odds for it doesn't make it any of fords business.

S65 LWB is €285k and I would be surprised if any other mainstream model beat that.

I reckon the boss of the company I work is one of them.I know there was talk of him going to Ford and putting a deposit down for one.
Will let you know in a week or so ( if I am not sacked by then).

Came here to say that, if I remember correctly Paddy Connolly had it advertised at €620. However it breaks the rules for this thread as it was second hand :P

Edit: Just searched previous threads and them seem to suggest it was advertised at €459k

There's a couple of 182 M5's for sale priced at 157k. Obviously if they are specced up with extras like carbon ceramic brakes etc then you're looking closer to 200k.

I'd be highly surprised if he did to be honest givin the hassle "Real car people" had to get one, that Shmee lad outlined the process in a video, write a proposal to Ford as to why yoj should get one, prove you had other supercars etc.. plus if imagine the 2 new limited edition Focus RS's he bought from Ford this year was part of his pitch to them. I couldn't see CMG going to all that hassle when he could rock up and pick a Lambo or Ferrari with a lot less hassle..Added to that to him it would prob not be flash enough being a Ford...

Ford would have given CMG one of them in a heartbeat if he asked for one.

The allocation process was designed to favor people with a high profile social media presence that would actually drive the car.

Love him or loathe him, CMG was one of the most high profile people of the past 3-4 years.

In saying that, if he was to apply for one now Ford would probably look at it differently given his recent negative incidents.

I know that’s on the price list but I didn’t think they were available except for special order whereas I recall that MSL Ballsbridge had the s63 and s65 in stock at one stage.

Any chance he has an older gen Ford GT?

I can only assume this (or the next new ford gt to land) is destined for the guy who currently owns an Irish registered Ford GT which was registered new here in 2006 (and I`m near sure he has owned it from new too).

There`s also another Ford GT owner (car is not registered here) who has a collection of jaw dropping super/classic/hyper cars. I can only assume one is for him given his collection.

From what I can tell if you were anything short of a celebrity or influencer you have to own or had to have previously owned a GT or be a well respected customer of Ford.

Only a guess on my part, no hard facts
