Why I'll not give up seat for pregnant women after the bill passes

    1. There are 7 freaking billion humans on earth. Why do you have to be selfish and put more people in the world. There isn't enough space for everyone, forests are destroyed at an alarming rate and all other natural resources are exploited to the maximum. Literally killing animals and their habitats to get resources for humans. When is it going to be enough? When there are 100 billion humans and no animals left because all of their habitat is destroyed?

    2. You CHOSE to get pregnant. Disabled people don't CHOOSE to be disabled.

    3. Don't take public transport if you can't handle standing. What makes you entitled? Your choice? If I CHOOSE to be fat then should I be entitled to a seat as well?

This wouldn't have applied before abortion was legalised as women couldn't choose if they want to have a child or not. After abortion legislation passes, there will be no excuse. I would assume all women are pregnant because they want to be.

While I don't agree with being a douchebag to people, and I would definitely give up my seat to someone who was visibly pregnant, I have to agree with the underlying sentiment expressed in point number one. This planet needs a fairly drastic reduction in human population, and people should be given incentives to opt out of reproduction IMO. Future generations would thank us for implementing something like that, when they don't have to live in cubicle sized apartments on the 200th floor and never see a patch of green in their lives.

Isn't it a good job that someone like you probably wouldn't ever be given the chance to procreate anyway.

Exactly, I did my part. I'll not contribute to the destruction of the world. I have a girlfriend and I also have a vasectomy.

No, quite the opposite. You are close minded.

    OP...seriously.

Go outside into the fresh air, take a walk around and enjoy life.

If this is what aggravates you, really, then you need to start asking yourself some questions on what you are doing with your life.

I was anti abortion also but I am also decent so would not try and look for excuses not to give up my seat on a bus/train, you sound like one of those that talk themselves out of giving homeless people some change because you say to your self "they are just scamming, hell they might even have more money than me"

As troll posts go OP, I'd give it an 8 out of 10.

It is good isn't it? Formatting and spelling are grand, didn't use any racial slurs or anything else too dodgy. Laid the groundwork for it to take off as a AH thread because it's aimed at women being entitled, but cleverly didn't linger on that and pushed the animal rights angle more explicitly to catch the vegans vs farmers vibe that's been happening recently. Got in the disabled and the overweight too!

The only real slip was leaving a four minute window before editing to clarify that it was the abortion legislation they were talking about.

Y'know what, I'd call it an 8.5 and I mark very harshly.

You're right. It was their choice so all things being equal they'll live by their choices and stand on the train.

3 out of 10. The idea of a good troll is to troll without being obvious. The OP fails in this regard.

I'm just trying to make a world a better place. The world is filled with selfish people. Kill, kill, kill and destroy everything that doesn't directly affect them.

You're absolutely right op, let those pregnant women stand on public transport and just maybe there will be slightest knock on effect of increasing miscarriages on your local bus/train route. This should tip the balance in favour of mother nature again and save the planet and it's habitat.

While I agree with the overpopulation sentiments, (believe me, if there was a red button to cull our species a bit, I'd be first in line to press it) but if you don't give up a seat to someone who genuinely needs it more than you then you're a pr!ck, end of :( Whether that's a pregnant woman, someone disabled, elderly person, etc.

OP is the kind of guy who parks on parent and child spots because "there's no actual law around them".

I'll jump of the roof and probably die, i would put myself in my situation. What's the deal with blaming everyone else? If that's so bad then why isn't there a law for demanding to give up a seat for pregnant women specifically. It's e everyone else's fault but mine. What a joke.

I will absolutely give up my seat immediately if I see a disabled or elderly person. I helped to carry the bags of elderly people multiple times.

The world is over populated but Ireland isn’t. It’s not like we’re China or India.

Really? Killing people is ok, but not allowing someone to sit down is unacceptable?

The biggest joke is in India. I've watched a video where a women in a slum with 5 children was crying and saying how I'll feed my children? You just can't have sex?

A pregnant woman is no different. Overpopulation of our species is irrelevant on an individual case of a pregnant woman on a bus, train, etc being denied a seat because of pure arrogance, and that's exactly what it is. It's a little thing called common courtesy.

And I agree with everyone else, you are a troll.

The only reason it isn't because Ireland was culled by famine. Rest of the European countries are overpopulated. You'll be lucky if you find a green patch.
