    So in for this.

Can we just not reference the hobbling scene in Misery tho? That makes me vomit in my mouth a little any time I think of it.

The Shinning light of my life is My Wife Carrie, she's not Irish but refer to her as The Dark Half of our relationship and you'd be in trouble. I think IT grows on you and around the time we watched IT together we endured the Misery of putting a furry friend, or Sun Dog if you will, that I sometimes referred to as Cujo into the Pet Cemetery. Poor thing was just a bag of bones at the end :( After watching Under the Dome we both decided that a re-watching of one of my favorite movies The Shawshank Redemption was needed to show what a good adaption can be. That said we did much prefer 11/22/63 but it'd be desperation for me whilst writing this to refer to a guy (Tommy) I teach who also liked it as an apt pupil. Despite the Tommy knockers it's not like he is a firestarter or has the eyes of a dragon nor is he The Talisman i'd point to in that class... anywhoo I felt as If I had Insomnia last night and was not a dreamcatcher at the time so i'll stop this nonsense and be entering the Dead zone aka taking a nap now.

Only I think 1 or 2 bits of creative licence were used there :)

and by all that I of course mean I'm in!

    Welcome on board Digi and Mick, hope you cleared two weeks for this :pac:... we are considering the option of allowing the game to be played out;

ie - no speed days with a possible pause or slow down should it run into the weekend.

Now, it is NOT set in stone, so we would like to gauge people's opinions.

    So...

    Speed Days

    OR

    No Speed Days?

Would love to hear your views folks :)

We tried this in the bttf game, paused on Saturday and finished up on Sunday or Monday evening, cant rem which day. From a mod pov it was great and the players were still full of energy until the end.

If you have a lot of twists that could be difficult to implement on speed days then its a good idea. I would be happy with the long game version.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,841 ✭✭✭✭beakerjoe

No preference either way, whats ever easier for the mods

I hope to be active in the game as much as i usually do. New job is a busy gig and the last game fell on a great week for me with the days off from Sunday to Wednesday before my flight

Yeah, I kind of had your game in mind when I suggested it to the others, enjoyed it.

I find that speed days can reduce player involvement towards the crucial stages of a game. Due to RL commitments and stuff, some people just aren't Necro and on Forum Games 24/7 :pac:

Obviously they are a necessary evil at times, but I'm hoping not having speed days at the end might:

    A) entice some old regulars out of retirement as they can post when necessary and not panic about being modkilled at the end.

    B) Add an interesting dimension to the game ala BTTF.

But we're happy to run it either way so we'll take majority approval from players.

Thanks, either way is fine for us tbh although Stu might disagree with me saying that :pac:

I'm sure you'll manage to be at least partially active, you can't help it :p

Apologies, Back To The Future - game Kolido, Digi and Lough ran back in February/early March. They ran the game over the weekend with a slow down and it concluded the Sunday night with a lynch iirc.

We haven't decided what form the slow down/closure might take yet, considering going the same route with basically an extended day Saturday, and lynch on the Sunday night being one of a number of options currently discussed.

That's all assuming the game lasts until the weekend of course.
