Separation is new and raw. Husband and I both work fulltime, he earns 30% more than me. We have one child. I will remain in the family home and all expenses involved. I wonder how much the min child maintenance is? In the interest of fairness, I will ask for this. I will struggle, but fair is fair. Was thinking around 400Per Month? Anyone advise?

The maximum a court will award is €150 per week. After that it's really up to you, your ex and the court. You could try mediation to sort it out with a neutral 3rd party. The service is available for free with a waiting list or ye could pay to go private.

I am basing all this on you and your ex still having some sort of civillity towards each other.

If ye don't mediation probably wouldn't work and court may be the only option.
