Have another 5 seasons to watch does the show have a decline or is it still funny today ? I read season 13 starts in September

Thank you Netflix I suppose lol

I binged this all a few years back and loved it. Recently I've seen a few episodes here and there and I couldn't remember them at all, I watched a few of the middle seasons heavily under the influence of something with well known short term memory loss issues.

I get to watch it all again!!

The pre Danny DeVito stuff is way funnier, less forced.

    Season 1?

Disagree completely. DeVito has tied this show together. Great backstory to how he got involved.

"Tied" is the problem. Before him the show was very un sitcom like, he turned it into a formulaic sitcom.

Charlie Work is the greatest episode.

    Whats the great backstory?

The first season had poor ratings and the network said "add a named star or it's cancelled". DeVito was one of the names the network threw out.

    Hardy warm fuzzy story.

Charlie Work is the greatest episode.

    Hmm, it is indeed.

But the episode in the water park in the last season was absolutely brilliant too.

Or the Lethal Weapon episode. I almost fell off the couch.

this whole show ...I can never really recommend it to anyone they kinda have to stumble across it and then you can say its Awesome.

not one redeeming thread in any of the Characters . Kaitlin Olson is one of the best things in it . they pretty much just say what they want .

so many good episodes and The McPoyles/

It was dropped from the American Netflix so it's not a sure thing it will always be on it over here.

Not really comparable but it's like bottom in that the characters are all whackjobs and out to screw everybody over even there own gang lol

Its a great show and having it all on Netflix is just perfect for jumping straight in.

The 13th Series is out soon I see, was this ever shown on regular TV in Ireland (I can't recall) or would Netflix show a new episode a week the way they do with some shows I wonder?

i can't remember what channel I started watching it on, but not on any of the Irish channels. I think Netflix will release episodes week by week, rather than dropping them all at once. (booooo)

I don't think we'll see it on Netflix till after the season is finished. Don't think they did a week by week type release for season 12.

It's one of the most consistently funny shows i've ever watched. Like any show that has been on for over a decade, it has had it's ups and downs (season 7 was poor, and there were a few mixed bags), but there are so many episodes that i would consider to be as funny as a show can get. Absolute must watch.

Plus, it has the best bloopers in tv history :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,437 ✭✭✭biggebruv

It's a show I could see e4 showing back in the day when it first started but I never seen it or if I did I never noticed it shame on me.

I seen they took a good year long break between seasons 9 and 10

And between last season and this upcoming one it was a year and 6 months the longest break ever between a season wow I'm sure it helps the writers come up with great ideas and time to think about each new episode

The first couple of seasons were actually on RTE 2 late at night iirc. It's where I first saw it.

always seemed one suited to TnG , they used to pick up on programs , when they could get them cheapish, well before any of the other Irish stations.

I remember first watching Oz and The Wire on TnG late at night by accident !!

It really isn't like anything else. The stories are so fcked up you almost wonder what drugs their on when writing them.
I love how everything is so morally wrong and offensive, but it's just so funny nobody actually gets offended.
Really can't wait for the new season.
