Irish Rail web fares are at full single fare price. Why?

Irish Rail normally offers Westport / Ballina to Dublin web fares at < €25. Today the price for a one-way ticket is €42. I've got a couple of tourists travelling east tomorrow.

Does anyone know if there has been a change in policy or pricing or if this is a website problem?

€20.99 one way here from both Ballina and Westport for a flexible ticket tomorrow. That's €41.98 return - are you sure you aren't accidentally selecting return?

Oh, boy! My €41.98 was for both tickets. There's nothing on the page to indicate that.

Thank you for the really fast response and for checking the price for me.
