Installing an electric motor in toy tractor?

Hi my son has a good quality pedal toy tractor. He's loves it but can only use it on foot paths around the house as we have stone chips on the driveway which he can't pedal over. Is there a way of converting it to motor driven? If so what steps/parts would be needed? Thanks

Also have a look in Halfords. They have battery powered cars. Perhaps get one on offer and strip out the electrics.
