Interesting that freesat is both loosing channels like channel 4 HD while Freesports, France 24 and Quest are adding HD. Makes me wonder about Channel 4's real motivation.

Whatever about the pros and cons of Freesat, you really have to wonder why anyone in their right mind would pay big money for basic Sky packages.

It's great to see a few more HD channels coming to FreeSat.

I am surprised that the Channel 4 issue has not been resolved as it is a major gap in the HD line up. FreeSat should really be encouraging the PSB broadcasters in the UK to broadcast all of their channels in HD not just the flagship channel (ITV, Channel 5, etc.).

Ye tuned that in still no audio, good quality picture.

For Freesat it would also be nice to see CNN HD, Bloomberg hd and C4 HD added.
Would also like to see Retro Movies, Horse and Country. EWTN and some of the music channels added also

Problem is at your end.

I'm getting this fine all the time. But the channel name comes up as a number. Will that revert to Quest HD when testing is over?

just go into editing of channels change the number to the name of quest hd wen the testing is over will it stay free to air or go behind the pay wall only time will tell?

It might remain where it is or it might move, when it is finished testing, when it will broadcast its own 'Name' in place of the number.

According to various usually reliable sources it was meant to launch yesterday 31st in time for the EFL this Saturday. For some unknown reason this didn't happen (yet). There is nothing to stop you manually tuning in the station and even renaming it if you wish. It is unlikely to move TP or anything like that. That said, we still haven't had a good explanation as to why Freesports HD came and went either. Bitchiness on behalf of a near monopoly satellite broadcaster perhaps???

Looks like Quest HD will launch on Sky tomorrow (Fri) according to their Twitter feed!

Their Twitter feed is also saying that Friday will be their HD launch day on Freesat.

Digitalspy states that it has been added to Sky epg number 866,can't check mine thoigh as I'm at work!

Viewing it on a box without a hd sub it's showing on 144. But as with recent things on sky (paramount channel) things can change.

On Freesat replacing the SD channel. Though when I scroll the favourites list it goes to the next FTA channel rather than the next freesat channel. Maybe I need to reboot from cold.

rebooted - Odd, just found Quest SD on 172! Are they keeping both?

I am aftering setting my humax box to series record the EFL as there is no catchup for this channel. Nice to have HD. Any idea who will be in the studio. C5 used to have Clinton Morrison. It could be the same production company anyway.
