    Hello all,

A family members immersion is not heating water, Sink or bath. She had a boiler stove fitted roughly 1 year ago with a new tank etc etc. A turned the dial back to reset and back up to 70 on the gizmo on top of the tank but this didnt do anything. Is there another reset button or trip switch? When the immersion is switched on the red light illuminates fine. Ill attach some pictures that might help sort this.

If its not an simple fix would it be a plumber or electrician thats needed?

Also should she call back the shop she bought the system off and see do they cover this under warranty?2uix9bt.jpg

Roughly a year? Is that 10 months or 14 months? Most come with a 12 month warranty

Turn off electricity to the immersion.
On the immersion thermostat, turn the dial back to midway between the 55 and the 70. (C position)
Then, using a pen (or something similar), push hard on the very small Red button above the word Reset. You should hear or feel a click as the immersion resets.
Restore power to the immersion and check in 20 minutes for hot water.

Spot on k flyer. That worked. I suppose if it trips again or a number of times it could be an issue

Most likely the cause is the high temperature of the circulated water from the stove is exceeding the high limit setting on the thermostat causing it to trip out, therefore it is likely to happen again when the stove comes back into use.
If it was to re-occur while only using the immersion, then I would suggest changing the thermostat for a new one.
