Epic React are a very nice running shoe. Not really a fan of Nike and usually go with a mix of Adidas, Hoka and Saucony, but the Epics I found to be a good blend of lightness, comfort and responsiveness. A good all rounder.

yes it would be fine but a bit of a waste really of the running technology, even at the reduced price of 95

these shoes are also very good but the discount is way bigger from 140 to 55 euro and probably look better imo.

don't worry about the colour being called gold, it's more brown, they look good and go with jeans etc.

This Adidas is a real bargain. But I am a Nike fan and like their designs more. I will check if Nike got good runners for 70e.

fair enough. but imo it's looks better as a walker than the react 'cos the react has a very raised height on the sole.

total bargain getting the boost tech for that money.

anything with boost in it is usually well over 100.

plus it has the knit upper - works well as a non-running shoe in terms of looks.

looks a bit gick using out-and-out trainer / running looking shoes for walking usually.

by the way for anyone buying the nike epic react from what research i saw it's recommended to go up 1/2 a size to get a more comfortable fit as they are a bit narrow.

Yes well that's the way sales go, limited availability. You can research sizing for online for popular models. Eg. The boost dpr is "true to size" i.e. pick your normal size whereas epic react it seems to be go 1/2 size up.

another big plus is that the cushioning material will provide cushioning for many more miles than the standard EVA foam that is still in most shoes.
e.g. you might get 300 miles good cushion out of EVA before you'll start to feel it go dead and even though the shoe could still look fine you'd have to get a new pair, whereas you'll get 500 out of react. that's nearly 70% more. In fairness, Adidas boost also lasts pretty long - maybe just under react.

Wish I had read this before I ordered. I have loads of pairs of Adidas, and always have to go for an 11, whereas I'd be a 10 with my Nikes. Ordered an 11 in PureBoost and they're way too big! Luckily 10's were still in stock.

few results down I saw a discussion on reddit about having to go half size up.

same with whatever shoe.

like the poster above adidas are usually small due to being narrow but with the dpr pure boost it's not the case.

you have to do this for buying online. the same shoe can even vary between generation models in sizing e.g. first version , second version a year later of same name

picked up a pure boost in that gold/ brown - that was actually a limited edition. very nice-looking shoe indeed and total bargain for 55 euro.
can easily be used for casual wear.
it's not the very best running shoe as it has no plate/support system in the midsole so the transition feeling is not the very best as there is not enough connection between the front and back of the shoe.
still very serviceable. reasonably light too.

picked up the epic react also in the black grey. also a very good deal at 95 considering this model and the react tech is only out earlier this year and few discounts on it.
also very smart looking and could be used casually but the adidas is better looking (in that adidas colour anyways)
like the new midsole tech so far - pretty responsive and light. not a racing shoe but good for easy to normal speed or light tempo runs.

I couldn't find Adidas Pure Boost Dpr in any shop.

Any other shoe out there with soft sole, good for light jogging, say 5K?

What about returns to UK? I think it will be an issue.

DPR is better version, bcoz the tongue in other keeps moving while running.

True size. A few of my pairs of Adidas are 11, so that's the size I ordered in the lifestyle sports sale. I had to return and go to a 10, though.

Never tried PUREBOOST though, but it has good reviews. Didn't like Nike Epic React. In worst case they have free return shipping.

I usually buy 10 in Nike. I usually buy 11 in Adidas. For PureBoost 10 is a good fit. Go to a shop and try some on if you don't want to risk it.

I saw their shoe size chart, 10.5 is 45,1/3.

Ordered 10.5 to be on the safe side. Google showed Adidas run half size shorter.
