Is this the official series thread? Surprisingly little comment if so.

Reviews seem to be generally rave, I'm pretty excited anyway

There's been no thread setup yet from what I remember.

I've seen positive reviews for the show but for a slow burn.

It might benefit from the fallout of GOT Season 8 if it means a smaller audience goes in and likes the new show and give it a word of mouth type of hype.

I don’t know how to spoiler so will just say don’t read the following which I will try to keep as cryptic as possible.

What is it with TV shows that feel like they need to show quite horrible stuff that can be insinuated and be more impactful. I don’t need to see certain events play out, feels like torture porn for the sake of it. The best shows and movies can tell a horrible tale without actually showing anything!

The intro music was underwhelming (although the did use older theme at closing credits) certainly in comparison to GOT.

Didn’t care much for any of the characters , I take it that it can take time to build up these characters but when you think of all the even thrown away characters in GOT (many who were really good) it’s a less then great start for me.

In GOT at least you could clutch to Ned Stark at the start to be a redeemable character. Not one decent character in first show anyways and nobody who seems overly intelligent (strategically like Tyrion) but to be fair that can take time for a character to shine.

I didn’t have any expectations for this , probably a show that needs to breath a bit and maybe will grow on me but I don’t see what these rave reviews are about. Best thing is that surely it can only get better for me.
