    For principals on the forum...as someone applying for jobs for my 6th consecutive year of fixed term contracts, have you noticed a reduction in no of applicants this year? Is the teacher shortage a real thing or just a problem when trying to get short term subs? Science, biology teacher here... have taught maths also but not registered... would be very interested to hear...

    Depends on subjects, overall about the same as recent years. Nothing like 5 years ago
