Number of applicants down?

For principals on the forum...as someone applying for jobs for my 6th consecutive year of fixed term contracts, have you noticed a reduction in no of applicants this year? Is the teacher shortage a real thing or just a problem when trying to get short term subs? Science, biology teacher here... have taught maths also but…

Depends on subjects, overall about the same as recent years. Nothing like 5 years ago
