Metrication in Ireland - when did it start

    When did this start in earnest.

    i.e. when did ESB / CoCos etc. produce all their plans in metric. Perhaps with the Hydro stations being mostly built with German Siemens it would have been quite early ? However I notice this 1970s pamphlet from ESB in 1970s is imperial.

    Now of course there could be a difference between public and internal documentation
