Root App for Huawei Y6 advice needed

I,m looking for a easy to root guide to root my huawei y6.
I just use it for radio/ podcasts .
its about 3 years old.i tried Kingroot apk, and also the kingroot windows version installed from my laptop ,windows 7 .
i have developer mode on, and usb adp mode on.
I tried kingroot twice from my laptop .
it said it could detect my phone.huawei y6
it went thru the root process ,eg 10.30,60,80,90 per cent and then said root
failed .the phone rebooted once so it looked as if it was going to work.
I,d Prefer to use an rooting app that runs from my windows laptop ,as i have no wifi ,or broadband at home .
Unless i use 3g from the phone , or go to the library to use wifi.i
have a sony phone experia L 6months old, so i,m willing to risk installing a root apk,
and maybe installing a new os rom on the old huawei phone.

Avoid rooting apps/tools like kingroot, they do more harm than good.

Unlock your bootloader if you haven't already. Flash TWRP.

Then flash

* SuperSU (No longer been updated, but should still work on old android version)

Or

* Magisk.

Search xda for your device and compatible root methods using the above.
