He signs with his rifle, for the man to throw the gun on the floor.

OOC: IF I have the scanner already, I scan the man. IF I do not yet, I await the scanner to be thrown or slid at me so I can proceed with those steps.

Kei opens the door slides the scanner out on the floor "Scan yourself" and closes the door again.

Mufasta'r hears a heavy set of footsteps coming toward the corridor. Scanning the man, he is certainly not clean. Not only are there flourides in his eyes, but the medical scanner detects large internal changes in his organs and brain chemistry being rewired.

"Very good..." Mufasta'r says to the man.

"Seems you are showing all clear, we will be able to go in... IF you'll let me open the door...".

Mufasta'r indicates to the man to take a bit of distance from the door, while he moves up closer ahead.

Once Mufasta'r is between the door and the man, without much hesitation, he turns to shoot the man. He cares not for the accuracy of his aim, just to hit the man and create enough of a diversion so he can slip into the room with his team mates.

He starts to do it himself and tries to use his efforts as a vent, so he approaches it with as mischievous intentions as his abilities allow. Maybe he can have them grow multiple behinds.

The magnum rips straight through the man's abdomen, taking shattered spine and intestine with it, as he keels over screaming.

Mant ambles over to look at Nathan's work.

"Impressive, you display near Hiver intellectual capacity at points Dr. Cole."

Nathan correctly identifies the relevant target genes from Roland's databanks of currently captured samples and begins to make the modifications to turn the genetic instructions into a retrovirus to simply kill infected subjects during mutation (OOC: Nimrod's choice on Rolz), he deftly alters the radio wave to accomplish this.

Outside the legs begin to stand upright and start to grow hands, but suddenly strange black welts appear on them, the skin slacks off the muscle and the legs writhe in pain on the ground, before becoming lifeless. Nathan's fast-acting retrovirus in action.

An almighty bang is heard from the lab roof. The lights flicker as something large steps around outside.

Kei heads into the room Doctor Cole is in "Did you do that?" Kei nods towards the main door.

Mufasta'r, relieved to be on the other side of the door, takes a deep breath as Kei closes the door behind him again.

He inspects his new gun, admiring the way it punctured right through the creature outside, though instantly finds himself deflated knowing how little it did to stop the creatures.

He turns to Kei and salutes him.

"Thanks for the help back there, best you scan me once more as I have had contact, twice since departing this room before..." he says as he hands the scanner back to Kei.

He turns to Dr. Cole

"Any idea how quickly one gets from not infected, to infected... unsure how much point the scanning will do amongst those previously cleared."

He aims his head up and waves his head around as he says "AI, can you deliver me with this information... Dont want to keep bothering the poor doctor...".

Nathan jumps into cover behind the tank and tries to assess the situation, raising his pistol.

The moment he spots something that looks like it would hurt getting shot at, he shoots.

Fourier

Kei fires off two shots, one just missing the talon, which retracts. Dr. Fulchz's head spews blood onto the floor.

In the talon's place, a set of hands with knife like fingers push through the hole and begin to tear open the roof.

Mufasta'r gets a glimpse of a large beast with a purple carapace and two heads as the hole begins to widen.

OOC: If you choose to fire, head to Rolz

Mufasta'r sets the plasma rifle to low heat and fires a red hot stream directly into the hole in the roof.

The creature falls into the lab roaring in pain, it's over ten feet tall, six arms, four ending in blade like hands and two as simply giant talons, with a set of massive wings on its back.

It begins to stand before a air splitting shockwave erupts from near the tank and rips through its heart and the wall into the doctors' common area. The beast drops to the ground dead. Nathans gun slowly cools and the blue glow powers down as the mag coils attempt to prepare themselves for the next shot.

Mant quickly leaps onto the desk and onto the roof outside.
