Well, what did you all think. Meghan was stunning as expected, very natural. Dare I say it but I thought her dress was a tiny bit too long. It seemed to catch on her shoes at times. Loved her Mam's outfit, very elegant and understated.
Loved all the colours and style, looked fab on a sunny day.
Dying to see more pics to choose my favourite outfit . My least favourite so far was Victoria Beckham, she looked the same as she did at the last Royal wedding, very drab and boring.

Im disappointed with the dress. She is stunning but I think dress is just too plain especially with the full long sleeves. I really like her style + thought she would be brave and go for a more interesting dress.

Navy and Yellow featuring a lot, I liked Serena Williams

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,200 ✭✭✭appledrop

Kate looks stunning as always. Yea I also think Serena is lovely. Amal is stunning.

I loved Kate’s outfit/ hat - very elegant. Not too keen on Eugenies and Beatrice’s outfits..... big improvement on their outfits from a few years ago, however. Loved Amals’ outfit - colour and cut really suited her :)

Is P Chopkra's suit Vivienne Westwood do you think? I adore it.
Also love a navy and white polka dot dress with a white collar.
Love all the headpieces with the bird cage veils.
Kate in a coat we've seen before.

Some lovely outfits. But what was with Serenas husband? Looks like he had someone else's trousers on - they were about 2 inches too short. Looks like he was ready for the floods! :)

Lady Kitty Spencer looks stunning. Amal looks great too. Sarah Ferguson scrubbed up well too, her daughter's looked a bit "iffy" as usual though.

Surprised Meghans dress is so plain, but lovely. The tiara is nice - it suits the understated dress.

Victoria Beckham looks miserable, she has a funeral outfit on her.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,812 ✭✭✭Addle

She was in a great position to take a relative risk fashion wise for her dress so I'm disappointed that Megan chose so safely.
    Still a fab dress though.

I liked Amal's outfit too, although she was struggling to walk. Can't be easy to walk in heels on cobblestones. I thought this one was inappropriate

I love Camilla's hat. Is it Phillip Tracey?

Also would love to see Sara Parker Bowles outfit. Usually love what she wears, including her wedding dress which I think is one of the best ever.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,219 ✭✭✭jos28

Who is that with Lady Spencer - LOVE that outfit.
Poor old Beatrice and Eugenie, they never seem to get it right. Although this time they are no where near as bad as Kate and William's wedding. Is Eugenie getting married this year ?

    Was George Clooney underdressed?

Nope. Too many clothes on imo :)

Limitless budgets and a lot of the outfits are still very blah.

Lady Kitty looked very classy but not mad about lower part of dress.

This is the interesting thing for me.
In Ireland a wedding invite for a female guests almost automatically means that you must assemble as spectacular an outfit that your bank account can withstand, in order to appear as almost aggressively fashion competitive at the wedding as you possibly can.
In the British upper classes they just don’t bother with any of that nonsense at all. Dan Snow was there today with his wife who’s father was the late Duke of Westminster and she was wearing quite a dowdy dress which I would imagine wasn’t even new.
At Williams wedding Samantha Cameron (really really proper posh) the wife of the PM at the time appeared as if going to a parent teacher meeting.
Incidentally the invitation for today’s wedding specified “day dresses” and indicated that a hat was essential.

I thought Meghans dress was very elegant and classic but the fit wasn't great. It defo needed adjustments and at times during ceremony it was puckering and gathering just emphasizing it was too big. Obviously that's just being hyper critical but if I was the designer I'd make sure to have it perfect with the whole world watching.

A lot of my faves have been mentioned already, I loved Sara Rafferty's (Donna) whole outfit and the woman who plays Jessica Pearson her dress was fab (the hat was desperate). I actually quite liked Beatrice and Eugenie (I don't know who is who lol) I usually hate their style so maybe it was just because it was an improvement.

There were some absolutely stunning hats too!

I completely agree about the wedding dress..absolutely stunning but it needed to be more fitted around the rum and boob's..she was flattening it down with her hands at times .

I loved most of the style..didn't like Oprahs much and thought Chloe Madely was too bare for the occasion.

Love that green/flowery dress above on this page...thought Camilla was looking lovely, loved the hat.Eugenie and Beatrice could have been better imo.

I can't find a picture online but she was wearing this dress because I recognised it while watching the live feed https://www.matchesfashion.com/intl/products/The-Vampire%27s-Wife-Festival-crushed-velvet-dress-1200694

Kate Middleton outfit, she wore on four previous occasions ! She looked great but gosh you would think she would have got a new rig out for the wedding of her husband's only sibling.

I thought Meghan looked really elegant but the dress needed the veil and tiara for a bit of drama. I think it will stand the test of time though in a way Diana's wedding dress didn't.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,812 ✭✭✭Addle

But it's diplomatic if Kate.... she doesn't want to show the bride up, or take any attention from her.

I suppose yeah maybe. Nice if she did do it for that reason. Still though.

And Kate only after having a baby so probably wanted to wear something she was comfortable in

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,059 ✭✭✭Icsics

I thought the dress was ok, not the statement Kate’s was. I really didn’t like the hair, it looked like she did it herself & she kept having to push it behind her ear.

    Megan's second dress was fabulous

I like simple style so I thought both dresses were stunning. Good design with a few nice accessories. (You can tell I shop in COS). I'm not a fan of Kate's style at all. British fashion is either very cool or so conservative that you could go through at least three decades without noticing much change. She seems to go for the second every time. A lot of royals do. Amal Clooney's dress looked lovely, I wasn't that mad about the hat. James Blunts wife was one of my best dressed and I don't even overly like florals. I liked Victoria Beckham's outfit but it needed red lipstick.

I watched arrivals and then switched off for the boring bits. :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,812 ✭✭✭Addle

Jacinda Barrett, Sarah Chatto, Abigail Spencer & Priyanka Chopra are my fashion favourites.

I haven't seen any particular attention to Credida Bonas' outfit. I thought it was fresh and youthful. I really liked her headpiece.
Always thought herself and Harry were the best couple.

Just saw priyanka Chopras evening dress. Oh my god, stunning!

LOVED both of Meghans dresses. Think the ceremony one was just perfect simplicity and stunning neckline.

Thought KM could have stretched herself to a slightly less repeated dress...

I agree but was thinking, maybe KM had another dress but it didn't fit as she is a mere mortal after all, and this was her back up dress. I was also wondering - is there a dress under this 'dress coat' or do you just wear the dress coat ?

That's a (rare) example of where a fascinator can make an outfit.
    Her lipstick too.

i wore a fascinator to a wedding recently and it totally make the outfit... compliments from both men and women.. i would post a pic but I don't think it would be wise..

Agreed - that’s probably one of my favourites too - I love the colour, it really compliments her complexion and the fascinator is beautiful. Here makeup was on point too. Very classic look imo. If I had to note one minor thing, I would have liked to see the dress a bit more fitted in the lower half - more hourglass rather than straight fit.

Agree-it's a good thing her head is drawing attention away from her hem line.

    Kitty Spencer. Niece of Diana.
    D&G model.

I didn't like what Idris Elba's missus was wearing - I'm sure it was vey, vey expensive but it looked strangely casual and inappropriate for a Summer wedding. It was all way too matchy matchy for my tastes, too - the cardigan, dress, bag and shoes all had the same embellishment (maybe Gucci? I'm not sure), yet the hat didn't fit with the look at all.
Loved Amal Clooney in sunshine yellow, and loved Camilla's and Oprah's hats. Doria's outfit suited her perfectly.
My favourite dress was an asymmetrical coral one - no idea who she was, but it was fabulous!
Chloe Madeley looked woefully underdressed for any kind of formal event - maybe you could get away with it at a beach wedding?! I find it hard to believe that was the nicest thing she tried on!

Anyone know who the lady in the orange dress to the right is and any info on her outfit? Sorry for the poor quality. My absolute favourite from the wedding. Kitty Spencer close second. Chloe Maddely was an absolute shocker, honestly don't know what she was thinking. Hated Victoria Beckhams. Dull and boring. Thought Fergie looked very well.
Loved Meghans first dress, very elegant. Her second one was a knockout though. Any idea what Kate wore for the evening party?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,812 ✭✭✭Addle

Don't know who she is, but she looks amazing. She mustn't be a 'celeb'.
