Back in the day, one snack stood out... For me, it was KP Outer Spacers.

They came in great new flavors, and one packet was never enough.

What was your bag,, back in the day.

    Twiglets.

Why can't you get them in Ireland?

Is it something to do with Catholicism?

It was 8p into the swimming pool at Northside Shopping Center,, if you had 20p, you had enough for a swim, a bag of KP Outer Spacers, and Two loose smokes.

    Happy Days..

They stopped making loads of stuff probably because they found out it was lethal, noting tastes as good as the old days.

King Crun-chos. Hot dog flavoured crisps. The high point of the corn based snack industry.

There’s a definite market for the relaunch of discontinued crisps.

Jonnie Onion Rings. Haven't had a pack in ages but used to savage into them back in the day.

Banshee bones. Eating the flavour dust in the end of the bag was like pouring vinegar straight into your eyes.

These were amazing... I read somewhere they discontinued them because some people broke some teeth eating them. They had to change the ingredients but they were never the same and discontinued:( There’s a Facebook page in their honour

I remember Outer Spacers a long time ago. I used to buy two packets of them and then go into the chipper and purchase a tub of curry sauce and dip them into it, really delicious that was.

Individual people have different thoughts and understanding in regard to others opinions, but the problem is this... there are some people out there that will do everything in their power to cut you off when they do not like your opinion even when it is truth.

At least they were til they barred you for being a middle-aged man hanging around the kiddie's pool, smoking your fags and trying to lure the kiddies out with a bag of shite crisps

Chipsticks used to be great. So vinegary they’d make your gob pucker up like a tomcat’s arsehole. Bought a bag of them recently and they were very disappointing.

Losing a tooth is a small price to pay in the pursuit of snacking nirvana. People should stick to tofu and cottage cheese if they aren’t prepared for a corn-based snack dental injury.

I came here to say this. They were amazing.

Every and again I'll eat a bag of hot lips/wheelies/space raiders but they're not the same at all anymore now that they're 'healthier'.

They were banned because of the microaggression.

Bikers, Perri C+O and O’Reilly’. Rascals, Hula Hoops Shoks (2002) I know they’re not that old but why they discontinued them I’ll never know. They sold off the shelves.

But, cheese puffs were the be all and end all! I could happily sit here with a sack of those! :pac:

I joined Barry McGuigans fan club in the early to mid eighties. Not because I liked boxing but because I loved his range of crisps. They used to send out a fan club magazine. One of the headlines in the magazine was 'Barrys Number One Fan' accompanied by a picture of a kid in a wheelchair. I remember getting jealous because I considered myself his number one fan seeing as how I was buying his crisps almost every day. I didn't think it was right that your man in the wheelchair was stealing my thunder.

First had meanies in Yorkshire in early 90's and fell in love.
I recall a limited edition of curry-flavoured chipstick style crisps. Chip shop curry, not Indian. Can't remember the name...

I will admit to being prone to the odd binge on crisps which I should have stopped eating when I was 12. I'm in my 30s now.

They're full of E numbers, empty calories, all of that, but I don't care because they're like fúcking meth. I'd suck your dick for a 6 pack of Meanies or pickled onion Monster Munch. But I don't need to do that, because the multi-packs are about €1.50 in Tesco and I'm an adult now, I can buy like 10 bags of that shít even if I were broke.

And now they have 'share bags'. Haha...'share'. That's all lovely and cute, but just not applicable to my real world.

Tayto Ripples Barbecue Spare Ribs Flavour. I always used to buy a bag when renting a video or two from Xtravision.
They vanished while Sour Cream & Onion lingered for a while afterwards.

I'm with you on the "share" bag. What a joke.
There is no way there is enough there to share, and they know it. The same approach was taken with the Mars bar. Gradually over time they made it smaller and smaller, then brought out a king-size Mars bar or "Twin Mars Bar", which was the same size as the original Mars bar! Shafted the consumer! A con!
