Living with SED (Selective Eating Disorder)

Hello, how are you guys? I’ve read the charter before posting this and I hope this is allowed to be posted here. I’m not looking for advice or treatment with this, I’m just hoping to find more (Irish) people who have this condition.

I’m a 25 year old, 6 foot tall, and 13 stone male. I’ve been living with SED for about 10 years now and it’s really getting to a point where it’s starting to affect my life and my choices.

My family and my close friends are aware how this effects me (and them). Anybody who is unfortunate enough to live with this horrible disorder will know how bad things can actually get.

I’ve gone for some forms of counselling in the past and plan to go to a specialist in England soon.

However my main reason for posting this here is as I said at the start I’m looking for some more Irish people who have this disorder.

I want to start a group - preferably a WhatsApp group - where we could all talk about anything people find relative to this. Unfortunately I’m not able to check boards as much anymore due to many other commitments but I would love for anyone who is interested to private message me or reply here and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

    Thanks a lot,
    Glenn.

Have you contacted Bodywhys or attended their support groups?
