    When I lived in Scotland, I asked a solicitor what the legalities were there about changing your name as in the UK it was Deed Poll etc.

    I was informed that all I had to do was declare; " If you want to be called Mickey Mouse all you have to do is say you want to be called Mickey Mouse and Mickey Mouse you will be,"

    He was upset that he could not get a fee of course ..

    vanessa , my son actually thought vanessa was my middle name. when I said my full name he was like ,what ? your middle name isn't vanessa ? why are you always on about the name he asked .cause I love it and I wish that was my name and as a teen being walked home from discos I always said my name was vanessa . fell in love with the name through vanessa huckstable from the cosby show but that association is kinda tainted now .
