Before I start I'll mention that my diet is awful I've been a fussy eater all my life but couple years ago I managed lose 3 stone from exercising even with my crappy diet.. Due to work changes I couldn't attend my classes anymore and ended up putting it all back on
Cut to now so I started back at gym in January
    Mon:abs&ass,step aerobics
    Tues:pilloxing
    Wed:body pump,step aerobics
    Thur:contempary dance
    Sat:Ballet
I also walk about 5 miles a day mon/fri at lunchtime
So still eat crap but my daily calories never go above 2000 mostly lower, wondering how come last time weight fell off me but this time I havnt lost even 1 lb I am losing inches my clothes definitely baggier Is it just because I'm getting older so it's harder to lose the weight?? Or my lifetime of crappy food is betraying me now 😜

I'd prefer not to eat crap than do the exercise regime you are on. :pac:

what kind of food do you eat? do you snack a lot?

Always eaten crap parents brought me to doctor as kid but had blood done n everything fine just don't like taste of essentially food that's good for me

I've weetabix for brekkie, chicken n chips for lunch, egg whites n toast for dinner rarely snack at all during the rest of the day,if I do just pack maybe if chickatees
I know it's not healthy but the fact that I managed lose weight last time is what is annoying me this time

I assume that the abs/ass classes and pilloxing involve body resistance exercises and the incorporation of weights?

You are growing/maintaining muscle which would explain why your "scale weight" is not going down but yet you are losing inches off your body fat. This is a good thing and not a bad thing! A better option for you would be to scrap the scales and focus on body fat. Your local gym should be able to measure your body fat using specialist scales.

Here is an article explaining this simply https://www.verywellfit.com/losing-inches-but-not-losing-weight-1231559

Btw your diet isn't that bad. It sounds like you are quite a fussy eater perhaps? I also don't think you are eating enough for the exercise you are doing. Do you exercise in the morning or night? Try having the egg whites and toast (wheaten or granary) for breakfast, keep the chicken for lunch so long as it isn't deep fried and swap the chips for half a cup of brown rice or sweet potato or small baked potato or maybe try a low fat wrap with low fat mayo and salad. Try and incorporate greens.

Then for dinner stick with chicken again if its the only meat you eat. Again you can go with the options I suggested earlier. Try doing a chicken curry or something. Of course if you aren't fussy with meat then there are plenty of handy things to eat which I'm sure others will suggest. A bag of chickatees once in a while is well deserved if you are doing that exercise.

I like a low carb approach, so cut out processed carbs at a minimum, the bread and chips for example. Eggs for breakfast are good , if you like chicken have a chicken salad.
Your body is going to tap your sugar reserves before it uses your fat for energy so make it work.

If your trying to lose weight it doesn't matter what food you eat as long as you are taking in less calories than you expend. Obviously good clean whole foods are the best option for overall health.

Google a calorie calculator and that will give your daily calorie needs and will also give you a calorie total if your wanting to lose 0.5-1kg p/w.

Keep track of your macros and do some light exercise it's impossible not to lose weight. Don't over complicate things.

    Abs&ass,pilloxing are using 8kg kettle bells n 3kgs dumbbells
I know it's good that I'm losing inches which if this was my 1st time trying I'd be delighted about it's only the fact that lost 3 stone last time Was thinking cos I'm old now (40's)lol that it might be getting harder to shift the lbs

Sorry I exercise in the evening after work

Metabolism does slow with age, but you know yourself that things like chips are never going to be great, especially if they're fried (and chicken could be fried/ breaded)? Even a swap to oven chips and a plain (but spiced) baked or roasted skinless chicken breast in the same portion size would probably be a significant drop in calories. That's just going on my own experience of portion control and relatively easy swaps being all I needed to do (at the beginning at least). I wouldn't avoid egg yolks either tbh.

Sticking to 2000 calories sounds like your maintaining, I'd suggest (as a non expert) dropping 10 or 15% off that and then seeing whether you drop weight.

Just on the "fussy eater" thing - we're working with our children (who are generally ok to be fair) on extended their palate - what I've read suggests it takes 4 times to get used to new food like veg.

I'm not even avoiding egg yolks that's me n my fussy eating don't actually like them ha ha, I gave up smoking last week(fingers crossed) hoping that maybe it will kick my taste buds into gear so might start like new foods

Honestly, that's the problem solved. That is your only issue at this point. Fix it or you are wasting your time.

2000 is a kinda high intake for a female trying to lose weight. If my GF ate 2000 consistently she's gain weight. I aim for 2000 calories when cutting on days I train twice.

    What's your age/height/weight?
Always eaten crap parents brought me to doctor as kid but had blood done n everything fine just don't like taste of essentially food that's good for me

That sounds like some mental excuse you use to internally justify your crap diet. Health food doesn't need to take like crap. It's not all broccoli and salad.

This week I've ate fried salmon fillets, wagyu steak, burgers, sausages, bacon and eggs etc. I'm cutting weight.

She is really, really, unlikely to be building muscle to offset her fat loss. It's just not going to happen by accident. A female has the potential for about 1-1.5kg of muscle over 4 months - but that requires intentional bulking. When trying to cut, that number becomes essentially 0, or close enough to not be significant.
This is a good thing and not a bad thing! A better option for you would be to scrap the scales and focus on body fat. Your local gym should be able to measure your body fat using specialist scales.

Those scales measure electrical resistance, not body fat. Fluctuate greatly with
    hydration.

If its inches, not pounds you want to lose then you have to eat alot of protein, alot!

Tracking your intake will help and no alcohol for a period of time is key to getting the body shape you want
