Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Good effort from AOC there

Ref really boned us with that soft yellow (not that we're playing particularly well), big points swing

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37,978 ✭✭✭✭irishbucsfan

Harsh enough yellow, yeah. Looked more intentional than it was I think. Bring down the maul and you’re risking that though

I wish more referees would give yellows like that. It was cynical and in the 22. He knew exactly what he was doing. I know it's frustrating when it's called against Ur team and it's let go numerous times during the season but it helps the game overall

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

I really don't understand Munsters tactics there. You've won or messesd up every Ulster lineout that you competed in the air for and it's clear from previous lineouts you're struggling against the maul, why the hell not compete in the air again on your own 5m line? Ball goes out of play again or touched in goal it's half time.
Sherry needs to step up if he wants to be captain again.

I agree with your point... but that yellow was very much the exception to generally what happens. Ulster weren't exactly rumbling over the line there. Ridiculous but Whitehouse is one of the poorer refs, come to expect this sort of stuff from him.

Be interesting to see if we get a maul pulled down in their 22 in the second half what will happen.

    That kick from JJ...

    That was dropped forward

Again with the passing from Marshall. Is it too late for him to just pack on the weight and learn to scrummage?

How on earth was that not a knock on by Fitzgerald!

    Rotten phase of play

Did anyone else notice the touch judge rebooting just there?

Oliver off, thought he was having a good game.

Luke Marshall is seriously thick sometimes

In all fairness to Whitehouse, he doesn't mess around making decisions. Talked to the TJ for a try in first half, and handed out 2 yellows snappy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,998 ✭✭✭leakyboots

Good man Ben, never doubted you!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,375 ✭✭✭✭prawnsambo

Well that's two mauls Ulster defended but a YC at a ruck. :)

It's stone wall YC that should be seen more often. Scarlets v LaRochele the ref bottled in on the try Line against Beirne. In from the side and dragging maul down in the 22

Whitehouse has been very good today

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,721 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

Kane should've been in the bin for that

It really is a shame Copeland hasn't shown the form he's shown in the past 2 months for the rest of his time here, he's been great recently

Not a hope it's a stonewall yellow. Happens all the time and goes unpunished.

Imagine there’s a Munster forward wearing pink boots.

    Times have changed lads. :pac:

Who's in the bin for Ulster? Watching on TG4 and the ref is so fast with the yellows that I didn't see it

That it Goes unpunished is wrong though. It was totally cynical

Why is PDiddy on for us already?

Any chance Whitehouse is going to call one if these Munster knock ons? He's missed 4 in this half so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,215 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

That entire passage of play was tragic from Munster.

Hadn't a clue what they were doing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

Munster ruined so many overlaps there with needless skip passes. Couldn't score playing against 14 men.

Hart + JJ hadn't a clue what to do.

I think that's ok, Fitzgerald was in the air

Just completely mistimed it, don't think there was anything else in it.

Ulster doing their best to lose this.

    Good refereeing by Whitehouse

Both sides guilty of a bit of amateur butchery.

    Eh??????

He jumped early but he tried to get the ball.

I think from memory you have to have a realistic chance of winning it. He was nowhere close to catching it.

Ulster line out has been awful

It should. He's missed a couple of knock ons for them as well

Yup. Great bit of timing and skill delivers a line out to the other team!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

Again more pointless skip passes. Infuriating

Ospreys have just beaten Cardiff 23 26 with last minute drop goal from Biggar.
