Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Got back from a business trip just in time for this. There were tickets on ticketmaster at 2pm today

Leinster really need a proper chant. No offence to Molly Malone but it's just not a song I've any interest in singing at a rugby match.

Exeter opening 20 at the Aviva was like this, they were all over us and their fans were louder. We need to quieten them in the stands and on the pitch.

    Sensational.

Great tap tackle by Gibson park.

Love the way Fardy is a man possessed anytime he gives away a penalty. Works incredibly hard until he has forced things back to parity.

    YEEEEEEEES.

I can't believe McFaddan is still awake.

Great try. Stupid choice of camera angles made it look like McFadden was clear into the corner.

Thought he did very well to stay in field

Must be 9,000 Scarlets fans at least. Great noise. Great try. Great weather. Great sport

JGP has been good so far

    That kick was suicidal....

Only thing that’s going to stop Leinster winning the competition is themselves. Bar far the most complete team left.

Outstanding players, great depth in squad and great coaching.

This is like the Ireland Wales game. Leinster dominating yet Scarlets still there or there abouts

Let's hope it finishes the same way.

Ferg needed that little win. He has looked the wrong side of amped since that knock on, that will settle him down before he does something daft.

Piote needs to speed up the scrum call

How did he not look at that, no way he didn't get the ball down there. Did we give away a penalty?

Edit: nope - dead right call.

    Get in!

Need one more before half time now.

Great work from Murphy there to get in position for that tackle.

Losing Beirne Barclay and Williams will be tough to replace for the Scarlets

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,018 ✭✭✭Bridge93

Poor discipline keeping Scarlets in this

Scarlets breakdown work is really excellent. This is a terrific game.

How Poite will adjudicate the next scrum

Mmmmm thought Beirne had the turnover in that instance.

That’s the game over now anyway.

harsh on Scarlets, Leinster holding on

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,998 ✭✭✭leakyboots

Beirne robbed of a turnover there I thought

I'd like to see that cover tackle looked at by the ref.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,998 ✭✭✭leakyboots

Nothing in the cover tackle for me

Usual Welsh filth when it goes a bit wrong. This is simply filth of a different hue from Leinster too.

Some kick, hard to see a way back now for the Scarlets, they can't get a head up of steam at all

  • Moderators, Entertainment Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 14,125 Mod ✭✭✭✭pc7

Great first half, Scarlett’s fans were loud here but getting drowned out. First game in a long time where no one got up for beers around us!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,223 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

The first 15 after HT will be crucial. If Leinster can stretch the lead or at least keep it to the same as the HT score they'll win. Leinster'e bench looks stronger than Scarlets.

That try all came from the penalty where Poite had judged Scarlett's offside from box kick when it clearly was knocked back by a Leinster hand. Massive call to get wrong in context of match. Game over now

2011 Heinekin cup final just called, it would like a word.

Leinster get the opening score in the second half and that should be enough.

It's weird seeing the ABs wearing Leinster jerseys...

Henshaw has been brilliant on his return, pure class.
Forwards doing the job, and giving JGP ye olde armchair ride.

Scarlets will need to do more than give the ball to LH as they won't catch up in multiples of 3.

    Great stuff.

Kearney and Healy both having massive games for us. Both having huge seasons after a ropey few years. Consequently both look a decent bit lighter than they have been previously.

Once again Jordi has been brilliant. He's everywhere.

I'd happily give him Player of the Year if he can close out the season like he has.

This Leinster team is miles better than that Northampton team. They have the best game manager in the game and by far the better bench. Scarlets have showed nothing so far and Leinster have been totally dominant.

Leinster must have had someone in a blue scrum cap all week taking a beating. Every time beirne goes near a breakdown he gets 2 or 3 Leinster players hammering him

McFadden having a cracker. My MOTM so far.

Scarlets havent got the components to do that

Soft penalties aside, it has been a phenomenal performance. But the calls of game over are definitely premature. Scarlets havent haven't been in the game yet. They will surely get their purple patch in the second half and are well capable of scoring tries against us. Leinster need to continue in the same vein for the next quarter before I will start to relax.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,223 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Leinster have won the collisions up front which has kept Beirne and James Davies from competing for the ball. It's really been a very impressive performance so far.

Scarlets have the ability to score from anywhere though. Need to keep them under the pump.

Bar the knock on I thought McFadden had a great half. Some great carries, leading to each try. Looks like he won’t be coming back for the second half. Let’s hope Larmour continues in that vein

Apart from the knock on he’s been great. Will he be back out for 2nd half though.

Don't know who else is watching this on the youtube live stream but dem 80's and 90's hits are the best way to spend half time!

RK is a good for a couple of those terrible dropgoal attempts per season :)
