Yep, I always use them correctly. How come HGV drivers don't use their indicators?

That'd be passing information to the enemy.

They are only visible to other Audi drivers though... have you ever seen your own indicators from another vehicle? There's a reason for that, in After Hours land.

How come some of you lesser motorists sit in the premium German car lane on motorways?

The two cars before my current one were a silver Audi A6 and a Mercedes 190e in black. I'd like to take this opportunity to apologise to all other road users.

I find Volkswagen Passat drivers to be the very worst, especially on the motorway. Usually being driven by some young lad who probably got the car off his farmer auld fella. Driving home at the weekend with a huge bag of washing in the boot. Excessive speed, passing on the inside lane, not indicating, wearing a Superdry jacket. Shower o' cúnts.

Since I got the Audi have noticed a very different response from people on the road.

People who waved out the mammy mobile but friendjy Tiguan previously now block off the small sharp Audi.

Truck driver tried to cut me off on the M50 on way into work last week and was waving and gesturing for absolutely no reason.

The load of bread type cars are the worst, Hyundai Atoz, Mazda 2, Mercedes A class.

    You'd walk quicker.

Opel/Vauxhall Insignia drivers are the worst by far. Like Audi drivers on some form of agression stimulant

Nope, but I want - and I will have - a 1980s Audi Quattro just like the one out of the brilliant TV show Ashes To Ashes.

    A super cool car...

Audi's are for people who are unable to make decisions for themselves and just pick the same car as everyone else. Theyre the Ford Escort/Opel Kadet of modern day Ireland.

We do. You just can't see them in the time it takes us to leave you in the dust. Peasant.

There's no Audi model in top 10 cars sold in Ireland. Same for any of the more expensive brands.
They're not exactly exclusive but not among the best sellers either due to cost.

I don't own an Audi, but I occasionally drive a slightly sporty-looking A4 Quattro (I'm not a fan - the steering is too light and initial acceleration is really sluggish at roundabouts, etc). While driving it, I've found that if I wave someone out at a junction, or allow a car to merge in front of me, they hesitate for a few seconds, not quite believing what's happening.

And its a truly sad state of affairs when you're given an Audi rental car, and it has those indicators, and you're (I'm) so impressed by them that you (I) make a video and post it to youtube!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,190 ✭✭✭Rory28

Its not just the Audi drivers. I see you all out there not checking blind spots, never indicating, pulling out in front of me.

Get on two wheels and then you'll notice how bad we as a nation are at driving. But to be fair its mainly the Audi drivers.

They make the car look like a motorway information sign or construction machinery. Highly naff, and I usually love the look of Audis.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,060 ✭✭✭✭anewme

I like the indicators, like everything about Audis.

It attracts a lot of negative comments, even though its not flash or naff , the best being when I did not want to sponsor some random person at the door being, well you can afford that car.

Drive a Skoda usually as the wife drives the Audi. Got to admit when I jump into the driving seat of the Q7 I lose track of where I am and still use the old winkers but only when I need to turn or move lanes
