    Carmel.

Creme eggs are too sweet imo. Cant remember them being as sweet 20+ years ago.

    Lindor eggs also nicer.

I have been a creme egg fan for longer than most have been alive.
But seeing some kid in the shop looking for a white egg by peeling the wrappers put me right off them this year.
    A marketing disaster.

Creme egg 100% but if stuck a caramel egg will do :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,623 ✭✭✭AllForIt

I've never had a caramel egg. I used to love cream eggs as a teenager, especially ironing out the foil wrapping with my finger till it was all flat and perfect.

Crème eggs are the cornerstone of our community. You're not doing it right unless you have a dedicated spoon for scooping out the glorious innards :)

Caramel eggs are a weak imposter

I love white chocolate and would love to have found one. If they had sold them labelled I world have bought a rake of the bastards and their likely yummy greatness.

    Creme eggs are an abomonation.

They are the sweets of the divil himself. Whats worse is we now have to endure them twice a year...Christmas and Easter.

I dont trust anyone who eats them. Sick fcuks.

I'll have a caramel one please.

What you thinks and don't thinks is hijinx methinks. Spare a thought for the crème egg flow disaster of 1965, losing 2300 crème refiners when the crème mine collapsed under its own deliciousnessnessness.

Caramel. The innards of the Creme Egg are far too sickly sweet. Never liked them.

    I like both

crème egg 10 years ago > crème egg they dole out today. But that goes for all American Cadbury "chocolate".

'Boiled, scrambled, or fried'? the lady at the B&B asked my younger brother when he was a small child.

    He replied 'boiled-scrambled please'!

I used to love the Creme eggs as a child; nowadays I find them too sickly to eat a regular sized one. The mini ones you get in the Heroes chocolates are a bit more manageable. But I definitely prefer Caramel eggs.

mini eggs are the best easter sweets imo

Did anyone try those Reese's peanut butter eggs that were in the shops this year? They were really disappointing.

They could only disappoint if you were expecting something good in the first place. There is no good reason to expect a Reece's product to be good, so there's no need to be disappointed. Hate the crumbly chocolate and cloying, over sweet peanut butter in their stuff.

On topic, I liked the old creme eggs that were nice and runny but the new ones are rotten. Far too sweet anyway but I think that's just when you leave childhood. Agree with whoever said mini eggs are the business.

Reese's has gone to crap. the eggs and the cups aren't as moist inside any more, and they have reduced the size of the cups, possibly the eggs too. all these companies are ripping customers off now it's not worth the money any more.

We as kids did that with the rare chocolate wrappers we had. Then they were wrapped around small cotton wool balls, thread added, for Christmas tree decorations. Loooooong time ago but happy memories

    CREME eggs please.

Caramel and false teeth are a bad combination

Love Cadbury;s and love the sweetness of creme eggs,

If anyone has creme eggs they want rid of? I will gladly "recycle" them, free of charge..

I'm living in Edinburgh and the local chippy does a deep fried creme egg. I'm quite partial to them regardless but the deep fried version i had (admittedly after a few drinks) was very tasty indeed. You wouldn't have two though.

I got a box of Cadbury mousse eggs and a box of Milka mousse eggs and the packaging and concept are identical down to the little spoon. Very different chocolate though. Neither was very nice.

Carmels eggs are nice. Like a lot of sweets from my childhood of the 90s, the recipe for the modern creme eggs has ruined it.
