    Does anyone know how to fix a 0xc000000f without putting a CD in the CD drive or a USB. I was hoping one of these keys might fix it. F1 to F11. Its a HP Envy laptop running 8.1. I don't know what I did to it. PLEASE HELP!!!!!! I goggled it with no success

    No. You are going to have to use a disc or create a bootable windows 8.1 usb stick. The process is well documented online and is quite simple. You will need another Windows computer to do this however.

    I have another computer. I suppose I have to change the BIOS to boot from the USB?

    It really depends on the laptop. Some allow you to hit an F key on boot to select boot device. Whichever is handiest for you really.

    When I switched the laptop on and hit the F Key, didn't work

    What F key? There are 12. F1 F2 F3 F4 etc,... not the fn key.

    You really should tell is the make and model of the laptop, this shouldn't be this difficult.

    I did say it was a HP envy laptop. I did the F1, F2 etc and didn't work.
