Buzzard variation

    Hello,

    We have daily sightings of birds of prey.
    For a buzzard , is it possible that the underneath surface would have little white, I.e almost entirely brown in colour?
    Frequently seeing birds of prey that fly in pairs , circle/glide at what I would describe a good height , hover at a low height with big flaps of their wings, large wing span. Biggest group I saw was 4. However the underneath doesn't 100% match what I see online.

    What is the best way to tell an eagle from a buzzard?

    Buzzards vary in shading considerably. Yellow legs, beak, size, shape, behaviour all help distinguish them.

    Just an update to this thread.

    Have seen several since making this thread and they are definitely the common buzzard.
    Today we had a particularly good sighting. Could hear loud bird noises outside and when we went outside to look there were 10 buzzards outside. Quite the sight.
    Was talking to neighbours and they saw a group of 6 recently too. Very active population so it seems. Rarely a day goes by when we don't see a raptor the last few months.
