Hey, I'm hoping someone can help. i am really looking into secondary school teaching with the subjects Business and Economics. its a job i would love to do but i am nearly 30 and its expensive, which is fine on its own but the more i look into the profession of teaching the more unsettled i get. is it really as bad as all the posts say? does it take years of temp contracts (if youre lucky), part time and subbing before you get the permanent job? like i said im nearly 30 and if i was younger this wouldn't be a problem, but now i have more to think about in job security and certainty.

any information or personal experience is really appreciated.
