Mother's day without children

I always thought I would have had children by now but it never happened for me, yet.
Mother's day and the lead up to it can be a painful reminder and it makes me a little sad.

To all the ladies who are childless this Mother's day weekend for whatever reasons, big hugs to all.

Thank you, and hugs in return. Childless because ex husband decided he didn’t want children after we were married. Too late and no possibility after that. The space is huge on days like Mothers Day. And all other days, if truth be known.

Delighted to be child free. All I can see are the negatives of life as a parent as any parents I know complain constantly about their children. Very difficult for people who would like children so hope the day passes ok for any of you in that position.

We have a 4 legged fur baby. He knows his "mammy" and she even tucks him at night

I don't have children by choice, but on the flip side, I don't have any contact/relationship with my mother due to years of abuse, so it's hard not 'having' a mother on mother's day too.
