Well thanks, but I am out of the country right now, what I need is a map showing the lpis numbers. I think someone is trying to steal my land.

That won't tell you if someone is claiming (stealing) your land.

The LPIS system is used by the department of agriculture to administer payments. They would hold the 'master' maps. I have never seen it published. It is not even a map but a composite of satellite and aerial images. The outline of the farms/plots are drawn on to these images. They are not very accurate, are continually being corrected, yet the department claim to be able to calculate land area from them.

The LPIS system was devised as a cheaper system than paying annual license fees to the Ordnance Survey for the use of their maps. It is an annual record of what each plot is being used for and by who, it has little if anything to do with land ownership.

If you give us a small bit more detail, we might be able to give you more help.

Did you leased this land to someone or is it not been used?

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 13 MickyJimmy

    There is no lease.

I was in with my farm advisor today. Getting the bps sorted. There is land beside my home house that a man grazes over the winter. I just got the advisor to check was it bein claimed. He had it up on the screen in 30 seconds. He can show it's bein claimed but not who is claiming it. Im surprised that the dept could not help you. Would a solicitor be able to find out? Surely you the land owner have the right to know about your own land.

You would think. I don't have any advisor and I don't want or need any advice. It's my land and I should be able to do or not do whatever I want? I get nothing or want any thing from any government. All I want is to see a map to find out if my land is associated with an LPIS number.

No offence to anyone intended here.

That is totally incorrect he can't say for 100% certain it was claimed, the only people that know that is the Department and they won't provide that info to anyone.

If you didn't give someone permission to use the land then no one should declare it on their BPS application if the contrary is the case then he/she should declare the land on their BPS and can enter schemes with the land

Again, I don't know anything about bps numbers, herd numbers, prime Numbers, odd or even numbers.

LPIS NUMBERS SHOWN ON A MAP IS WHAT I NEED. NOTHING ELSE WILL HELP ME.

Maybe if I knock up some Muslim bitch and knock out 5 quick little bastards someone will help me?

You're not in the country so the department of AG isn't going to give out confidential information to you and rightly so,
You seem to be referring to land thats not farmed or leased so it's probably neglected if it's not being farmed by someone else.
If you were serious about this you'd send in a BPS application in your own name and if there was a double claim on your land the Department would tell you that.
They won't tell you who the other claimant is.
We don't need any proof of ownership to claim on the land but when two farmers claim on the one parcel the proverbial hit's the fan.....That's probably the only way you're going to find out.
If he's farming it for twelve years without paying rent he'll probably have squatters rights and take it off you that way

You won't get much help on here talking that crap. We have tried to help you but you seem ignorant to all people. So maybe go Paddle your own canoe from now on.

Ok, I'm done here. Hopefully some one can delete this useless thread.

NOBODY is gonna steal my land. They tried before and failed.

I am getting on the jet plane and bust up someone's head at this point.

    Please delete this useless thread.

I could not get an answer to a simple question just a bunch of useless information.

I'm out in Africa helping the hungry babbies. Me and father paddy and sister Mary.

Some **** is getting paid from your tax euros for abusing MY land.

Don't worry, I'm on my way home to fix the situation.

    Thanks for all the help.

Yea, he's emigrated and hasn't leased or rented the land to anyone, that's likely to happen alright.
Impossible to advise when you're never given the full story

It's all good craic until someone gets hurt.

And it's you people as well as me cuz your tax euros pay for what these lazy scumbags continually do.

I have been fending them off for over 40 years, trying to steal what I worked hard for. They have failed every time and will fail again.

At this stage it's probably a joy to be next door too, breeding ground for weeds.
He should be thanking someone for cleaning up the place

I ask a simple question and you're faulting me for not answering your question?

No body has permission to do anything with anything that belongs to me.

Please somebody delete all this nonsense before my head explodes.

Send in a BPS application in your own name and no one else can claim on your land then....simple
Get a bit of help from Teagasc or an Ag consultant setting it up this year and you do it online yourself into the future. You say you're coming home any way

Its time for a pint. Sister Mary is frowning at me over there in the corner while she sips her tea. Father Paddy is already drunk.
The hungry black babbies are all making a fuss.
