    Hi,

Going on family holiday to Gorey in Wexford in July for a week. Mam, Dad, two grandparents and two kids ( girls, aged 3 and 5 ). I’ve never been to Wexford so can anyone recommend anything fun to do? With kids in mind especially. Any nice restaurants? Good swimming pools? Pubs?:D

Quick list for you to look into. It's been a while since we were down but I think anything I've listed is still open/running.

Lots of beaches from small to large, including where they filmed Saving Private Ryan.

Courtown is nearby and is great for kids & adults alike. Amusements, kids rides, beach and harbour assuming the weather is good. Pirates Cove has amusements, bowling & adventure golf.

There's an adventure & leisure centre in Courtown as well should the weather be miserable. Last time we were there with our children they had a big inflatable in the pool.

Amber Springs Hotel do great food in the bar area. There's also a pizza place in the garden. Kids play area & petting farm on site too.

We've never had bad food in Sean Ógs in Kilmuckridge which is en-route to Wexford town if you're going further than Gorey

On the way down or the way back Wicklow Gaol is worth a visit. Rathwood near Tullow is a bit of a drive away from Gorey but is really nice.

Greenan Maze is a nice spot for a few hours and within striking distance

    +1 for Kia Ora farm.

There's a couple of places do horse riding (Kiltennel is a name that springs to mind)

    Plenty of beaches

The petting farm in Amber Springs is actually decent - especially for the kids at that age.

There's a lavender farm near Inch - think it's called Wexford lavender farm.
