If your the Arsenal board, it makes little sense to sack him now and pay him off, plus pay someone new - who won't be cheap as they'll know Arsenal are in the pits, when they are pretty much guaranteed 6th regardless of what happens.

Might as well wait till end of the season, let him go himself, get new man in, get rid of cech and the rest of the duds and build up the team.

From a business point of view, arsenal have done it better than most teams, and the board are about the business at the end of the day - for instance city I think made 1m in profit last year - while arsenal made 25m.
