Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can I fund my own referendum/election campaign?

If an individual sets up their own referendum/election campaign, they must register with SIPO (Standards in Public Office Commission) if they are to receive any donation larger than €100. Registering is alot of unnecessary hassle though.

But what if I have €5000 of my own cash? Can I fund my campaign using my own €5000 putting up posters etc. without registering with SIPO? Or does me providing €5000 to my own referendum/election campaign count as me donating to myself? In which case i'd have to register with SIPO.

I would have thought that i should be able to fund myself without it counting as a "donation", but i'm not sure.
