Car paint query

Hi folks, Does anyone know if modern car paint comes under either the "epoxy" or "polyurethane" paint categories? I have a primer that says on the datasheet that it can be easily overcoated with either of these types of paint but I don't know if it will be compatible with "car paint", whatever that is! Thanks in advance!
