Ah the recruitment process with Aer Lingus in general can be quite long. This is my third time applying and i have never moved past the online assessment lol. Probably the longer it drags out with no reply, the less likely of a change you have been honest.

Thank you for replying. Yes, thought a week without hearing anything was a bad sign.

I went in for the baggage handling recruitment back in January
Received a call for Interview on a private number which i found strange
Done interview and never heard a word back
Be prepared to hear nothing back

I was just wondering if everyone got the same one i was told the 16th too but due to technical difficulties i couldn’t upload until after so i don’t know if it’ll still be counted

I say I most likely did not move forward with the process. Usually they yet in contact the following week once you have completed the assessment. I could be wrong !

Anyone get any phone calls today?

If this is anything like the way they treat their pilots be prepared to wait a very long time to hear anything and generally it will be when it is too late to actually do anything.

Did you have interview yet, how did it go? Any mention of whether they were still interviewing for the position?

Found it strange very few have commented on this thread compared to CC one.

For that position the pay is quite good. 15 euro an hour, from my memory last year I think it was only 11-12 euro an hour.

    Postponed due to the weather!

How long should I expect before I hear back? I know previous posters said a couple of weeks but I can't imagine it being that long considering it's March and they have to get everybody security checked before April/May.

I had an interview in February and got word today that I got the job. I think I had the interview early because I previously had it for cabin crew but failed at their reach assessment so they invited me for guest service agent. They do take ages to get back to you

Hey congratulations! I failed at the reach assessment back in December too so I had my interview for guest service agent in February but I haven’t heard anything from them yet :(

I got a call for an interview this morning, literally 24 hour notice to come in. I forgot I applied it was so long ago

Yah it’s kinda strange. I was taken by surprise when they called. I’m going to attend it, mine is Thursday. Did they send you a confirmation email ?

Yep, I have mine tomorrow morning. You need to bring like 27 documents with you. On such a short notice I am struggling to get this stuff printed.

I'll have to get to the airport early and print it on the spot before interview.
Also I couldn't find the job description anywhere anymore, do a quick recap on what they are looking for. It seems like its been removed, so I am going in dark.

The five year background check has caused me allot of hassle in the past. I have worked in several places both home and abroad and also completed some courses. I don’t no how im going to get letters from all my previous employers.

They actually haven't asked me for the whole background check, there is a 1 page vetting invitation to fill in before the interview.
