Sports hall or similar premises to rent in Cork?

    Hi everyone,

    I'm starting a small side business instructing spin and other fitness classes in the evenings and weekends but I don't really know where to start in terms of a premises.

    Can anyone recommend some places to rent by the hour at a reasonable price? I'm thinking a gaa or rugby club might welcome the extra revenue and might even have some of the equipment I'll need.

    Ideally I want somewhere on the Southside (Douglas/rochestown/carrigaline area) but I'm open minded on this.

    Any advice ye can offer is much appreciated

    You're probably going to need insurances, if you don't already, for running classes.

    Thanks Alf. I'm sorting out insurance at the moment too. Can you recommend a decent company for public liability for personal trainers/gym instructor?

    I can't, I'm afraid. The only time it would have been relevant for me was back in college when I went out teaching self defence classes and found out I'd need insurance. But that was shortly after the course was done so I escaped unscathed :)
