I think my HTC 10 has been infected with some kind of virus or something. I haven't downloaded anything to my phone recently, but maybe it is from an auto update of an app.

I keep getting these notifications on my lock screen.
    Chrome www.notification.team 43y

crap like meet russian brides, or something to do with viagra. now i've clicked on my fair share of dodgy links over they years ;) but i've never felt the need for either of those things thankfully

anyway, click the link and it just brings me to a website in chrome for www.adskeeper.co.uk

if this was a pc i would download something like ccleaner and sort it out in a jiffy i'm sure, but i've never had anything like this on a phone so i've no idea what i need to do.

anyone any experience with this or any ideas how to get rid of it?

Can you long press the notification on the lock screen and get the details of the app that it's coming from?

I think Google have blocked apps that can do that to your lock screen now, anyway. It was out of control a while back.

Think that may just have done the trick.
Got a notification there for baldness clicked long on it and I think it just has something to do with chrome app. I was able to disable notifications for it. Would rather have been able to delete it altogether but sure hopefully this works.

    Thanks again Basil

Am I the only person who is paranoid enough to just immediately wipe my phone if something like this happened?

What else has this app been able to do I wonder?

Yes, I am paranoid... but you only need to be right once! (gets tinfoil hat)

    Something about sandwiches

I wouldn't be happy with just hiding these notifications!
Find out whats causing them, and uninstall that app!!!

You still have some dodgy crap on your phone. All you're doing is hiding it!

To me it's just a website that has been allowed notifications in chrome.

Have you tried opening Chrome > Three dot menu > Settings > Site Settings > Notifications and see if there's anything there that shouldn't be.
